Rosemary Rawcliffe – Producer / Director / Editor
Founder of Frame of Mind Films, Rosemary Rawcliffe is an EMMY® award-winning consultant, executive producer, producer, and director with over 30 years of international experience in television, advertising, film, video, and theatrical production. A social entrepreneur, Rosemary combines a unique blend of creative vision and business acumen with the capacity to effectively oversee and guide an organization's creative and business facets. Her key strengths include conceptualizing and synthesizing innovative ideas, successful team leadership, project coordination, and timely and budget-friendly production delivery. As a humanitarian, Rosemary's dedication to creating films emphasizing human rights and prioritizing telling stories from the female perspective is unwavering. When Rosemary moved to the United States from her native England, she founded Frame of Mind Films to continue her passion for producing stories that witness truth, spirit, hope, and courage. Under her leadership, Frame of Mind Films continues to make a social impact with its EMMY® winning Women of Tibet series and, most recently, the EMMY® nominated production of The Great 14th: Tenzin Gyatso, The 14th Dalai Lama in His Own Words.
Holly Hine – Line Producer / Editor
Holly Hine is a professional in the film and television industry with over 15 years of experience. She began working at Frame of Mind Films in 2009, starting as Rosemary’s Executive Assistant and Post-Production Assistant. Over time, Holly has evolved within the company, taking on roles of Associate Producer, Line Producer, and Media Manager & Digital Archivist. Her passion for storytelling and attention to detail are evident in her work, particularly in her role as Line Producer and Assistant Editor on the company’s latest feature documentary, the EMMY® nominated The Great 14th. Her talent in production management and post-production processes have been instrumental in the success of numerous projects. Holly earned her BA in Film Editing from AAU and previously worked as a promoter in the music industry, and at a post-production agency in Los Angeles.
Elizabeth Ray – Junior Editor
Elizabeth graduated in 2011 with a BFA in film editing from the Academy of Art University, San Francisco. Since then she has worked on various commercial and documentary projects in both production and post-production. In 2014 she co-founded an Oakland-based film collective called Liberated Lens, which focuses on education, resource access, and networking opportunities for local film and media-makers. She joined the Frame of Mind Films team in the fall of 2018 as a junior editor, cutting Kalama’s Journey, a short documentary about Laysan Albatross on Kauai. The Great 14th is Elizabeth’s first feature length documentary, and she can’t imagine a more wonderful and unique production to have worked on.
Ibon Olaskoaga – Editor / Colorist
Ibon has devoted himself to media and film work for over twenty years. After graduating in film production in 1989 at ESCIVI in Spain, he discovered the magic of film editing and began working as an editor in Barcelona for some of the most prestigious post-production studios in the city. In 1993 he jumped into the arena of documentary film, which has been his passion ever since. This vocation has taken him all around Europe, to Los Angeles, New York, and presently the Bay Area. His contributions have included working as editor, writer/director and supervising editor on more than a dozen award-winning long format documentaries. He was our finishing editor and colorist on The Great 14th.
Peter McCandless – Director of Photography
Peter McCandless is a Bay Area cinematographer with a long and varied list of film and video cr edits for broadcast television and theatrical release. The recipient of two National Endowment of the Arts Awards, his films have been presented at major international film festivals, including Sundance, where his work Pool of Thanatos drew much favorable attention. Peter was the cinematographer on the EMMY® award-winning documentary film Of Civil Rights and Wrongs: The Fred Korematsu Story, the controversial The Bridge, a 2006 documentary film that tells the stories of individuals who committed suicide at the Golden Gate Bridge in 2004, and Call of Life, the first feature-length documentary film to fully investigate the growing threat to Earth’s life-support systems from the loss of biodiversity. He is the cinematographer on Frame of Mind Films’ EMMY®-winning Women of Tibet series and the company’s latest feature documentary, the EMMY®-nominated The Great 14th.
Tom Disher - Composer
Tom is an EMMY® and ADDY award winning composer and sound designer and founder of Disher Sound in San Francisco. He has a degree in piano performance, 4 years of post-grad composition, orchestration and electronic music studies, and spent 5 long years on the road with a variety of performers. His previous work includes EMMY® winning John Wooden: Victory, Values, and Peace of Mind (2001). Tom is honored to have worked on composing the original soundtrack for The Great 14th.
Andrei Staruiala – Title Design / Motion Graphics
Andrei is an Edinburgh-based freelance director and motion designer. As well as doing the title design and animation for The Great 14th, he also works on short films, commercials, music promos, animations, and does some graphic design and illustration projects. Andrei also designed and animated our Frame of Mind Films logo.
